Trans-regional cooperation on Yangtze River Delta projects

Qingpu district of Shanghai, Wujiang district of Suzhou and Jiashan county in Zhejiang Province will cooperate on 51 major government projects this year to step up efforts on integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta area.

The three regions will jointly work on tourism plans for Dianshan Lake and build a 50km riverside green belt along the Taipu River. Unified protection and management standards for trans-regional rivers will be established.

Besides, joint emergency plans and countermeasures on heavily pollution days will be formulated and implemented.

As for industrial development, the three regions will join hands to promote the construction of the Shanghai Stock Exchange Yangtze River Delta Service Center and build a trillion-yuan-level cluster of information enterprises, including Hengtong Optic-Electric and BOE.

This year, Qingpu will accelerate the construction of Donghang Road which connects to Wujiang Kangli Avenue and add more bus lines in Jiashan and Wujiang to Metro Line 17 in order to speed up public transportation.

In addition, the three regions will explore an integrated public security system, deepen cooperation on personnel dispute arbitration and labor security inspection and share information resources of libraries, museums and other cultural facilities.

Qingpu will strictly regulate environment protection in three towns of western Qingpu and launch a number of ecological projects to improve the living environment. Besides, the suburban district plans to make land space of 1,669.03 hectares and transform 104 land blocks this year.
