A doctor (PdD) workstation from Quzhou University was inaugurated at a local technology company on Jan 21, local media reported.

The move brings the number of such stations in the city up to 36 with a total of 38 contract projects, involving high-end equipment manufacturing, new material, electronic chemicals, new energy and logistics.

Since May 2017 Quzhou University has worked with the local talents office and human resources and social security bureau to establish doctors workstations around the city.

Doctor Lyu Liang's workstation at Changshan Kerun New Material Co was the first result of their efforts.

Lyu led his research team in developing a new technology of continuous diazonium coupling for Kerun, which can bring the company an annual profit 50 million yuan ($7.25 million).

Statistics show that to date, the university's doctors stations have generated 120 million yuan for local companies.

In addition, they have helped these companies to introduce 21 projects, apply for 66 patent rights and develop 23 products.
