Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province plans to construct itself into the province's core garden city by 2022, according to the construction planning recently released by Zhejiang's development and reform commission.
In a bid to achieve the target, the city will ramp up ecological environment protection over the following four years.
Quzhou will establish 66 beautiful towns, 100 countryside parks and 12 agricultural economic belts by exploring special local farming culture, folk arts and customs.
It will pave cycling greenways for cyclists in all the districts and counties to connect most of the local scenic spots.
The city will spruce up a total of 100 kilometers of waterway and launch eight theme travel routes, including natural landscape, world cultural heritage sites, beautiful villages, ancient towns and physical sports.
In addition, the Chinese city will also create a favorable business climate by further streamlining administrative procedures for people and businesses, develop eco-agriculture and construct leading new material manufacturing bases and research and development bases at home and abroad.
Bordering four different provinces, Quzhou will use such advantage to grow into a transport hub with a more complete transportation network.
