All important personal information including cardholder’s ID number, bank card account, bank card password, credit card expiration date, security code (the last three digits on the signature on the back of the credit card) and transaction SMS verification code should be kept safely. Please be cautious when someone claims to be from the bank, UnionPay, or judiciary agencies and asks for the above information.
Stay away from free WiFi
Secure WiFi is usually protected with a password to prevent "squatting" and protect security. Therefore, it is best not to do online shopping when you use free WiFi without password. Do not perform any payment operations on public computers such as the ones in Internet cafés.
Tips for safer online banking
1) Online banking
Avoid using online banking on public computers in public places such as Internet cafés and libraries. Computers used to log in to online banking should be installed and updated with anti-virus software and personal firewalls.
Try to avoid accessing online banking through other website links to stay away from “phishing websites” or knockoffs.
Keep your personal information secure. It is recommended that you change your online banking password from time to time.

Log in to the official mobile banking website to prevent online fraud;
Keep your user name and password secure;
Please reset your password in time if you disclose or forget your password;
Contact the bank if you lose your phone or change your phone number.
3) WeChat banking
Pay attention to privacy settings. The “People Nearby” function on WeChat can locate other people and users should close it after using. In addition, users should carefully limit the access to the “Moments”, and do not disclose personal information on it.
Avoid mentioning sensitive information during chats. When the chat content involves sensitive information such as “account, password, transfer or payment”, it is suggested not to reply through WeChat.
Set screen lock password. That way even if someone gets your phone, they will not be able to use it. In addition, the WeChat payment password should not be the same as the screen lock password or any other passwords.
