Three rivers in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province were included among the province's Beautiful Rivers list in 2018, which was recently released by the Water Resources Department of Zhejiang Province.

The three rivers are Shiliang River in Kecheng district, Lingshan River in Longyou county and the urban section of Jiangshangang River in Jiangshan county.

The 33.3-kilometer Shiliang River is a main tributary of Qujiang running through Quzhou. The local government has constructed the river into a city garden integrating tourism, entertainment and industrial development by renovating riverside barrages and beautifying riverbanks.

Longyou's county government have invested 500 million yuan ($72.5 million) in restoring the wetlands and shoaly terrain along the Lingshan River, protecting the ancient Jiangxiyan Irrigation System, a World Heritage Irrigation Structure, and constructing venues for river drifting, fishing and rock climbing.

With an investment of 400 million yuan, the Jiangshan county government have made the urban section of Jiangshangang River a place for local residents to congregate, with gardens, and other recreational facilities now in use.
