Dalian Art Exhibition Hall is the city's first professional art exhibition hall.

Located on Shengli Street in Xigang district, Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province, the hall was built in 1902, designed by German architects and built with Russian investment.

It is in gothic style and is a fine example of modern European architecture in Dalian.

In 1996, Dalian municipal government allocated funds to restore the badly damaged building, and rebuilt it into an art exhibition hall.

Covering 1,400 square meters, the hall has three exhibition rooms, reception and meeting rooms, and is designed to hold exhibitions of calligraphy and painting, photography, cultural relics and other collections of artworks.

It was approved by the State Council in 2001 as a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Address: 35 Shengli St, Xigang district, Dalian, Liaoning province

Opening hours: 9 am-4 pm from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on statutory holidays)
