Mengyang Animal Husbandry Co (蒙羊牧业股份有限公司) was established in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, in May 2012 with registered capital of 310 million yuan ($47 million). The company has a comprehensive industry chain including breeding of high-quality sheep, intensive animal husbandry, standardized processing, a cold chain logistics system and nationwide terminal channel coverage.

By integrating its development modes featuring scale, standardization and industrialization with the internet, it has become a leading enterprise in the country's agricultural industry, a member of the World Meat Organization, a pioneer in promoting poverty alleviation in the autonomous regions and a standing unit of China Meat Association. The company is also listed in the top 500 valuable brands in China.

In 2015, Mengyang produced more than 13,000 tons of refined mutton products with  sales volume exceeding 1.8 billion yuan, ranking first in the industry in China for the third consecutive year.

The company always adheres to its core values of the "making herdsmen rich and bringing customers health". It lifts farmers and herdsmen out of poverty by promoting their cooperation with cooperatives, banks and insurance companies.

In 2015, it cooperated with China Insurance Co on food safety liability insurance and mutton sheep breeding insurance to ensure food safety and reduce farmers' risks.
