Wang Hesheng

Vice-minister and member of the Party Leadership Group of the National Health Commission

Wang Hesheng, male, born in June 1961 in Qingyuan of Hebei province, joined the Communist Party of China in 1984. He holds a PhD in law.

Wang started his career in August of 1984 as secretary of the Youth League of the Faculty of Health at Tianjin Medical College. He then served as secretary of the Youth League of the Student Office, deputy secretary of the Youth League of Tianjin Medical College, and then secretary of the Youth League of Tianjin Medical University.

In March 1997, Wang became the deputy Party secretary of Tianjin Medical University and was promoted to the post of deputy director of the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission in 2002. Later in the same year, he became the deputy secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Education and Health Committee of the CPC.

Three years later, Wang became the Party secretary of the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts.

In May 2008, Wang was selected as the Party secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Health Bureau and in May 2010, he became the Party secretary and director of the Tianjin Municipal Health Bureau.

In June 2014, Wang was promoted to the Party secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission. Six months later, he became the deputy director of the Tianjin Municipal Publicity Department, and in July 2015, he became director of the Tianjin Municipal Publicity Department.

In August 2016, Wang became a member and vice-minister of the Party Leadership Group of the National Health and Family Planning Commission.

In October 2016, Wang served as vice-minister and member of the Party Leadership Group of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, and director of the Health Care Reform Office under the State Council.

As of March 2018, Wang has served as vice-minister and member of the Party Leadership Group of the National Health Commission.
