Lawful private property rights of a citizen are inviolable.

The Constitution expressly provides that the lawful private property rights of citizens’ may not be encroached upon. In China, private individual enjoys the ownership of real property and movable property such as their lawful income, house, daily effects, means of production, and raw materials, and the lawful savings and investments of individual persons and the gains derived there from are protected by law. The State protects, in accordance with the provisions of law, the right of individual persons to inheritance and other rights and interests, and the lawful property of individual persons is protected by law, and illegal appropriation, encroachment and destruction of such property by any entities or individuals are prohibited.

In addition, the General Principles of the Civil Law, Property Law, Contract Law and other relevant laws and regulations provide expressly on the possession, utilization, profits from and disposition of the private property. The lawful private property rights of the foreigners in China are protected by Chinese laws and may not be illegally infringed upon.
